Saturday, May 12th - Bowling

Saturday, May 12^th Let’s go bowling. Several of you have

asked and it sounds like fun. We’ll meet at Sarasota Lanes,

2250 Fruitville Road in Sarasota at 5:45pm and bowl from

6:00-7:00pm. The cost is $3.75 per game plus $1.50 for

shoe rental.

3 Christians Murdered in Turkey

Today in a town out in the East of Turkey, Malatya, 3 of our brothers were murdered for their faith in Jesus.

PLEASE PRAY for their families, there are wives and children left behind.

Pray for their attackers.that they will repent even as Saul did after he stood by and gave approval of Stephen's stoning.

Pray for the church that this will only cause them to stand stronger in their faith, remaining unshaken and unafraid.

Pray for everyone's safe-keeping.

Pray that we will all know how to encourage one another in this as well as disciple those who might not yet realize that we grieve, but not as the world, because we know that our brothers are at Jesus's side.

Is Magic the Gathering a harmless game?

I had a friend in Connecticut whose daughter was being plagued by demons. She was normal in every respect. One day, she told me she saw a huge demon while she was riding in the car with her parents on the Berlin Turnpike. She said it was tall - around 100 feet. She was having strange nightmares and was visibly upset.

Her parents, being strong Christians, were puzzled as to why this was happening. God led me to ask her what kinds of games she was playing. She was about 12 or 13. She said she had these "Magic" cards. Here is what a sample card looks like: http://www.wizards.com/magic/PlayMagic/LTPnDemo-en.html

I asked her if she was willing to part with these cards if it would make the demons go away. "Yes!" was her answer. We told her parents and threw the cards into the trash. We then prayed over her and pleaded the Blood of Christ on her. She no longer has those scary visions and nightmares.
